Does my child need to bring a lunch?
No, Starlight is happy to partner with a local business to provide nutrious hot lunches. The price of these lunches is included in our program fees. Lunches are prepared in a certified professional kitchen off-site and delivered daily in time for lunch each day. If you wish to send a cold lunch, it should contain a protein, whole grain, a fruit and a vegetable or two vegetables. A water filled ice pack should be packed with the lunch to keep it cool until lunch time at 12:00pm.
Does my child need to be potty trained?
Preschool aged children must be potty trained. Toddler aged children must provide personal diapers and wipes.
Do I need to bring a blanket and pillow for nap time?
A fitted crib sheet fits on our cots. Children should bring a sheet and a blanket along with a pillow case for storage of items during the week. Children are also allowed one pillow or one sleeping buddy if desired.
Does the center close due to weather?
Winter storms may cause the center to close. This is a decision made by the center board and will be broadcasted by tv, facebook, and email notifcations.
Are there security measures implemented?
All exterior doors are equiped with locks which require an issued key card to open. All parents will be provided two key cards to gain access to the building. All other guests must call upon arrival for entrance.
